Privacy Policy
The short version. The RAP Escape 2026 Auditor runs entirely in your web browser. The income, loan, and tax figures you enter into the calculator are never sent to us, never stored on our servers, and never shared. This site sets no tracking cookies. The only personal information we ever receive is your email address — and only if you choose to subscribe to our email list. We do not sell or share your information. The full detail is below.
This Privacy Policy describes our policies and procedures on the collection, use, and disclosure of your information when you use the Service, and tells you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

- Consumer, for the purpose of the CCPA/CPRA, means a natural person who is a California resident.
- Device means any device that can access the Service, such as a computer, a cell phone, or a digital tablet.
- Personal Data (or "Personal Information") is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual. - Service refers to the Website.

Collecting and Using Your Personal Data
The Calculator Does Not Collect Your Data
The RAP Escape 2026 Auditor is a single-page tool that runs entirely within your browser. The values you enter — including adjusted gross income, loan balances, interest rates, filing status, dependents, and state of residence — are processed locally on your own Device to produce your results. This information is never transmitted to us, never stored on our servers, and never shared with any third party. When you close or refresh the page, those values are gone.
Types of Data Collected
Personal Data
The only personal information we may collect from you is your email address, and only if you voluntarily provide it by subscribing to our email list. Providing it is optional. The Service does not require an account, a login, or registration of any kind.
Usage Data
Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service. Like nearly all websites, our hosting provider's servers automatically record limited technical information when a page is requested — such as a Device's Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, the pages visited, and the date and time of the visit. This is standard server-log information used for security and to keep the site running.
We also use a privacy-focused analytics service (see "Analytics" below) to understand, in aggregate, how the Service is used. That service does not use cookies and does not collect personal information.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
This Website does not use cookies. We do not place tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies on your Device, and we do not use web beacons or similar tracking technologies for advertising or remarketing. Our analytics provider is specifically chosen because it is cookieless.
Note that third-party lender websites that you reach by clicking an outbound link from our Service operate independently and may set their own cookies once you leave our site. We do not control those practices. See "Links to Other Websites" below.
Use of Your Personal Data
Because the only Personal Data we receive is an email address you choose to give us, our use of it is narrow. The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:
- To send you the email communications you subscribed to receive, such as updates related to student loan repayment rules and the Service. You may unsubscribe at any time.
- To respond to you when you contact us with a question, correction, or request.
- To maintain and improve the Service, including monitoring aggregate usage to understand which pages are useful.
- To comply with legal obligations and to protect the rights, property, and safety of the Company, our users, and the public.
We may share Personal Data with Service Providers — specifically, our email service provider (to deliver the emails you subscribed to) and our analytics provider (which receives only aggregate, non-personal data). We may also disclose Personal Data where required by law, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of Company assets, in which case we will provide notice before your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
We do not sell your Personal Data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Retention of Your Personal Data
The Company will retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. If you subscribe to our email list, we retain your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, after which it is removed within a reasonable period. Standard server-log and aggregate analytics data is retained only for a limited period (generally up to 24 months) for security and troubleshooting, and may be retained longer only where necessary for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
Transfer of Your Personal Data
Your information, including any Personal Data, is processed at the Company's operating location and at the locations of our Service Providers. This information may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, or country where data protection laws may differ. The Company will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Delete Your Personal Data
You have the right to request deletion of any Personal Data we hold about you. Because the calculator collects nothing, in practice this means your email address, if you subscribed. You may unsubscribe using the link in any email we send, or contact us directly to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information. We may need to retain certain information where we have a legal obligation or lawful basis to do so.
Disclosure of Your Personal Data
Business Transactions
If the Company is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your Personal Data may be transferred. We will provide notice before your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
Law Enforcement
Under certain circumstances, the Company may be required to disclose your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or a government agency).
Other Legal Requirements
The Company may disclose your Personal Data in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect and defend the rights or property of the Company, prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service, protect the personal safety of users of the Service or the public, or protect against legal liability.
Security of Your Personal Data
The security of your Personal Data is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially reasonable means to protect any Personal Data you provide, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. The strongest protection here is structural: the calculator simply does not transmit or store the financial information you enter.
Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand aggregate usage of the Service — such as how many people visit a page and which pages are most useful. Plausible is cookieless, does not collect personal information, and does not track individuals across sites or over time. It is used in place of conventional analytics tools specifically for these privacy reasons.
Email Marketing
If you voluntarily subscribe, we use a third-party email service provider to manage our email list and deliver communications. You can opt out of receiving these communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in every email, or by contacting us. We do not add anyone to our email list who has not chosen to subscribe.
Affiliate Links
This Website contains affiliate links to third-party lenders and lender marketplaces. If you click one of these links and complete an application, the Company may receive a commission at no cost to you. Clicking an affiliate link takes you to a third-party website that operates under its own privacy policy and terms; we do not control, and are not responsible for, the data practices of those sites. Full detail on how the Company is funded is on our Advertising Disclosure page.
CCPA/CPRA Privacy Notice (California Privacy Rights)
This section for California residents supplements the information contained in our Privacy Policy and applies solely to visitors, users, and others who reside in the State of California.
Categories of Personal Information Collected
The CCPA/CPRA defines categories of personal information. The list below reflects, in good faith, what we may collect. Because the calculator processes your inputs only within your browser and transmits nothing, the only category we actually collect is a limited identifier — your email address — and only if you subscribe.
- Category A: Identifiers. Examples: real name, alias, postal address, unique personal identifier, online identifier, IP address, email address, account name. Collected: Limited — email address only, and only if you voluntarily subscribe. Standard server logs may record IP addresses for security.
- Category B: Personal information in the California Customer Records statute (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.80(e)). Examples: name, signature, address, telephone number, financial information. Collected: No. The financial figures you enter into the calculator are processed in your browser and never received by us.
- Category C: Protected classification characteristics under California or federal law. Collected: No.
- Category D: Commercial information. Examples: records of products or services purchased or considered. Collected: No.
- Category E: Biometric information. Collected: No.
- Category F: Internet or other similar network activity. Examples: browsing history, interaction with a website. Collected: Limited — aggregate, non-personal usage data via cookieless analytics only.
- Category G: Geolocation data. Collected: No.
- Category H: Sensory data. Collected: No.
- Category I: Professional or employment-related information. Collected: No.
- Category J: Non-public education information. Collected: No.
- Category K: Inferences drawn from other personal information. Collected: No.
- Category L: Sensitive personal information. Examples: government identifiers, financial account details, precise geolocation, health data. Collected: No.
Under the CCPA/CPRA, personal information does not include publicly available information from government records, deidentified or aggregated consumer information, or information excluded from the CCPA/CPRA's scope.
Sources of Personal Information
We obtain the limited personal information described above directly from you (when you choose to subscribe to our email list) and automatically through standard server logs and cookieless aggregate analytics as you navigate the Service.
Use of Personal Information
We may use the limited personal information we collect for business purposes, including: to operate and provide the Service; to send you the email communications you subscribed to; to respond to your inquiries; to respond to law enforcement requests and comply with applicable law; for internal administrative and auditing purposes; and to detect security incidents and protect against fraudulent or illegal activity.
Disclosure and Sharing of Personal Information
In the preceding twelve (12) months, we may have disclosed Category A identifiers (email addresses) to our email Service Provider for the sole purpose of delivering the communications you subscribed to, and aggregate Category F data to our analytics Service Provider. When we disclose personal information to a Service Provider for a business purpose, we enter into a contract that requires the recipient to keep that information confidential and not use it for any purpose except performing the contract.
Sale or Sharing of Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. We do not disclose your personal information in exchange for money or other valuable consideration.
Sale of Personal Information of Minors Under 16 Years of Age
We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors under the age of 16, and we do not sell the personal information of consumers we actually know are less than 16 years of age. If you have reason to believe that a child under the age of 16 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
Your Rights Under the CCPA/CPRA
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights:
- The right to notice. To be notified which categories of personal information are being collected and the purposes for which they are used.
- The right to know/access. To request that we disclose information about our collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information, including the categories collected, the sources, the business purposes, the categories of third parties with whom we share it, and the specific pieces of personal information we collected about you.
- The right to delete. To request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions (for example, where we must retain it to comply with a legal obligation or to detect security incidents).
- The right to correct. To request that we correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
- The right to opt out of sale or sharing. Because we do not sell or share personal information, there is nothing for you to opt out of — but the right exists and is honored.
- The right to limit use of sensitive personal information. Because we do not collect sensitive personal information, this right is honored by default.
- The right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of your rights.
Exercising Your CCPA/CPRA Rights
To exercise any of these rights, California residents may contact us by email at jeff@operatordossier.com. Only you, or a person you authorize to act on your behalf, may make a verifiable request related to your personal information. Your request must provide enough information for us to reasonably verify your identity and describe your request with enough detail for us to evaluate and respond to it. We will respond within the timeframe required by law (generally 45 days, extendable once by an additional 45 days where reasonably necessary, with notice).
Children's Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 16. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from anyone under the age of 16 without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information.
Links to Other Websites
Our Service contains links to other websites that are not operated by us, including third-party lenders and lender marketplaces. If you click a third-party link, you will be directed to that third party's site. We strongly advise you to review the privacy policy of every site you visit. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes are effective when they are posted on this page.
