Advertising Disclosure

EscapeRAP operates the RAP Escape 2026 Auditor as a free tool. It is funded through affiliate relationships. This page explains those relationships plainly, consistent with the Federal Trade Commission's guidance on endorsements and disclosures (16 CFR Part 255).

How EscapeRAP makes money

When you click certain outbound links on this site — for example, the "Check SoFi Rate" or "Compare on Credible" buttons — you are taken to a third-party lender or lender marketplace. If you then complete an application or fund a loan, EscapeRAP may receive a commission from that company or its affiliate network. There is no cost to you, and the commission does not change the rate, terms, or fees you are offered.

What this does not affect

The calculator's math and its recommendation logic are not influenced by which companies pay commissions. The tool compares RAP, private refinance, and PSLF on projected lifetime cost using your own inputs. When the difference between options is small, or when you indicate PSLF eligibility, the tool deliberately defaults toward keeping federal protections rather than toward refinancing. EscapeRAP is compensated on referral — not on telling you to refinance.

What EscapeRAP is not

The tool is decision support. Confirm any decision with a licensed professional before acting.

Outbound links

Third-party lenders and networks linked from this site operate under their own privacy policies and terms. EscapeRAP does not control their underwriting, rates, or data practices.
